Kate brings a highly-specialized skill set to her real estate clients that builds upon her background as an attorney and journalist. She is certified as both a Seller Representative Specialist and an Accredited Buyer Representative. Working with both buyers and sellers is key to her keen understanding of how to help her buyer clients come out on top in competitive multiple-offer scenarios, and to helping her seller clients get the best price and most solid terms possible. She's known to her clients for her communication skills, problem-solving prowess, patience, and candor.
Kate is a master at building lasting, honest, professional relationships not only with the vast network of people that may have a hand in her clients' particular real estate transaction: other agents, lenders, title company and escrow personnel, 1031 exchange qualified intermediaries, home stagers, contractors and movers, just to name a few. These solid connections are absolutely fundamental to the process of buying or selling in the Bay Area’s one-of-a-kind market.
After receiving her undergraduate degree
at Barnard College in New York City, she earned a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and subsequently practiced in both federal and state courts as a litigator based in Manhattan, developing and honing her advocacy and negotiation skills. She also holds a Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University, which led her into business and legal journalism, reporting and writing for publications such as Forbes.com and The American Lawyer magazine.
Kate is an active member of her community and enjoys participating in fundraising events for charities and organizations of importance to San Francisco and the Bay Area and beyond. She served on the PTA board of her two daughters' elementary school for one year as Fundraising Chair and for two years as Financial Secretary. In the past, she has volunteered as a writing tutor for young students in San Francisco's Mission District, served as Treasurer for her former condo association, was also Treasurer for a local environmental impact non-profit organization in the Catskill Mountains, and was press secretary for a political campaign in New York City.
Before moving to her beloved "forever home" of San Francisco, she lived in New York City, Seattle, Nashville, and Sydney, Australia, where she was born.

Maddy is a Bay Area native, whose family has been in the construction and real estate industry for over 40 years. Having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years, she has experienced its growth and development firsthand and possesses extensive knowledge of the area and its housing market. Enthusiastic and energetic by nature, second to selling or finding buyers their dream home, her top priority is providing her clients with a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the transaction process.
Having previously worked in the residential construction industry, Maddy has a meticulous and detailed eye and sees listings and properties with a unique perspective. She is able to have vision and assists her clients in seeing the full potential of their future home.
